Product: Anti Sheep IgG Polyclonal Antibody
Catalog No.: 111211
Alternate Names: Immunoglobulin G
Description: Sheep have 5 immunoglobulin isotypes made up of 5 heavy chain classes (IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD, and IgE). The IgG class is further subdivided into 3 subtypes (IgG1, IgG2,and IgG3); the IgA class into 2 subtypes. The heavy chains combine with 2 light chains (lambda and kappa) as in other species. IgG is important for our defense against microorganisms and the molecules are produced by B lymphocytes as a part of our adaptive immune response. The IgG molecule has two separate functions; to bind to the pathogen that elicited the response and to recruit other cells and molecules to destroy the antigen.
