Description: Chicken IgG, also known as IgY, is the major antibody isotype in the chicken serum and is composed of two heavy and two light chains. Chicken IgG is not only an indicator of infections but it is also becoming an alternative for Igs of mammalian origin. It was very potent as a secondary antibody and was able to detect chicken antibodies against different pathogens.
