Camelid Alpaca IgG2 Native Protein

Product Name: Native Alpaca Camelid IgG2 Isotype

Catalogue No.: 117058

Alternate Name: IgG2, Alpaca Immunoglobulin Isotype-2

Description: Three immunoglobulin-G (IgG) isotypes are described to occur in camelids (which includes Camels, Alpaca, Llama and ), namely IgG1, IgG2 and IgG3. IgG2 and IgG3 are distinct in that they do not incorporate light chains. These heavy-chain antibodies (HCAbs) constitute approximately 50% of the IgG in llama serum and as much as 75% of the IgG in camel serum. Under reducing conditions, IgG1 was resolved into light chains (22.7 kDa) and a heavy chain (49.4 kDa). The IgG3 preparation was reduced to one dominant heavy-chain species of 42.1 kDa. The IgG2 preparation was reduced to one dominant heavy-chain species of 40.9 kDa.
