Description: Beta-lactamases are enzymes produced by bacteria that provide multi-resistance to β-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins, cephalosporins cephamycins, and Carbapenems. Beta-lactamase provides antibiotic resistance by breaking the antibiotics' structure. Penicillinase is a specific type active against Pencillin.
