Description: The heavy chain of goat IgG1 and IgG2 has an epitope that is recognized by monoclonal anti-goat IgG. While the antibody exhibits mild cross-reactivity with bovine IgG, it exhibits high cross-reactivity with goat IgG. IgG generated from humans, guinea pigs, rats, horses, dogs, chickens, pigs, mice, rabbits, and cats do not exhibit any cross-reactivity. It stimulates the classical pathway of the complement system. It neutralizes virus particles and toxins. IgG might be associated with allergy. It has the longest serum half-life.
