Description: HyFreeze™ Cell Freezing Media is balanced media for freezing mammalian cell lines. It is provided as a sterile ready to use 2x solution working solution. It is found to be very good for freezing hybridoma cell lines, recombinant cell lines and standard cell lines such as HEK293, CHO, BHK21, etc. It also works well for insect cell lines.
Usage: Prepared your cell line you want to freeze in your standard media at 2x cell density you want to freeze the cells. Then add equal volume of HyFreeze™ 2x to make your cell suspension at 1x concentration ready to freeze using any on the standard freezing methods. We recommend final cell densities between 1,000,000 to 10,000,000 per mL for 1x cell suspension prepared ready to freeze.
Format: Provided as a sterile filtered, tissue culture tested, 2x concentrate ready to use
solution. Never frozen before shipping to customer. Each 100mL bottle is enough to make 200 frozen vials for your culture.
Storage: It is recommended to store at 4°C - 8°C in refrigerator until use within 6 months. It
may be made into aliquots and frozen stored at -20°C - 80°C for long term to use within a 24-month period. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing, which may cause activity loss and or show precipitation.
Stability: 6 months when stored at 4°C - 8°C in refrigerator or 24 months when stored frozen.
Once thawed use within 6 months or aliquot and store as needed. Do not freeze & thaw repeatedly.
Shipping: This product may be shipped in liquid form on blue ice at ambient temperature.
