Description: SMARTfect™ DNA Immunization Adjuvant is a proprietary blend of chemicals for direct naked plasmid DNA injection for strong induction of antibody responses in animals. This adjuvant, developed by our years of experience working with DNA immunizations, makes DNA immunization easy and accessible to all with high titer antibodies. This product is provided as a 100x stock solution ready to use. This adjuvant is demonstrated to work well with intra venous (iv), intra muscular (im), subcutaneous (sc) or intra dermal (id) injections. It is also tested to be safe and works well in mouse, hamsters, rats, rabbits and chickens.
Method: Prepare naked plasmid DNA in saline or TE buffer at neutral pH to required volume and concentration for immunizations (recommended to be between 0.2 – 1.0mg/mL plasmid DNA). Add 1-2 uL of SMARTfect™ DNA Reagent for every 100uL of DNA solution. Mix gently and thoroughly. Proceed to immunize animals immediately. Immunization can be done by id, im, sc or iv route, safe to use in mouse at indicated doses. Once prepared do not store reagent mixed with DNA.
