Product: Anti Rat IgG2a Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog No.: 111779
Description: Rat immunoglobulins are subdivided into five classes; IgM, IgG, IgA, IgE, IgD, and four IgG subclasses; IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG2c, on the basis of the structural, biological, physicochemical and electrophoretic properties of their heavy chains. The heavy chain of rat IgG2a has an epitope that is recognized by monoclonal anti-rat IgG2a. Unlike the other rat immunoglobulins, the antibody only recognizes rat IgG2a generated from normal serum or myeloma proteins. When applied to immunoblotting, it helps identify the rat IgG2a denatured-reduced heavy chain (g2a).Monoclonal anti-rat immunoglobulins can be a crucial tool in many applications, notably when utilized as a secondary reagent in immunohistochemistry. These antibodies have no ability to bind to humans or many other animals.
